The minimum wage is an issue that has been raging on a good bit since it was created.In America today, the only thing we know about and can do is to provide for our present, what has been presented to us in the past. We cannot seem to pay any attention to what came before us. It is not our job to look back or try to discover and study the past. It is not our role to decide whether the past was a good thing or a bad thing.We have all of the tools and skills available to us to make our lives better and happier. We are entitled to decide whether the present is good enough for us and how best to improve it. Only we have the power to change our lives to what we desire.Whether we like it or not, the current level of income is not enough to cover all of our needs and our desires. There is no reason for some one to have to struggle to make ends meet.In times like these, those that don't have a great deal of money to get most of the blame. If we blame those who are affected by the economic problems, we can move forward. We can make a choice to be better citizens and not have to live in fear of having to cope with the kinds of debt that keep hitting us. We can make a choice to allow our kids to grow up in an economy that will allow them to pursue whatever dreams they have.Should the minimum wage be raised? I believe it should.
